Honda Accord starter problem...?
I am positive my starter is dead. This morning I tried starting it and nothing happened. The radio came on, all the interior lights etc. work. I tried jump starting it twice but just the buzzing noise and nothing. My question is, what's the easiest way to replace the starter myself? Isn't it located under the battery tray? I'm not a mechanic and don't really know much about starters. Any helpful tips will be greatly appreciated...thank you
Starter on the Accord is back side, to the left when facing the engine.
Easier to get to it from under the vehicle.
Disconnect battery.
Use 8mm wrench or phillips head to disconnect + and - connections from the starter.
13mm typically to unbolt starter.
That's it really, takes about 40 minutes from start to finish.
You'll need to recharge the battery as well.
Check the tension on the belt that drives the alternator as well.
