How You Can Repair RRoD On The Xbox 360 Console - Tackling The Dreaded Red Ring Of Death Hardware Fault
In order to learn to fix Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360 games console, you need to grasp firstly what causes this issue. There is certainly a number of resources that you could look at on the internet to find out how this error is resolved and some explanations all about why the problem happens.
Resolve this ring of death problem yourself without spending a lot of money by reading Xbox 360 Ring of Death Fix
The red ring of death (RRoD) is one of the more frequent problems faced by users of the Xbox 360 video game console. Users will recognize that they're having this problem if three blinking red lights become visible around the 360 game systems main power button. To identify standard function, 4 green lights should be appearing on the button.
The 3 red lights indicate an internal fault or one or more failures among hardware internal components. The issue may also arise if the Xbox 360 is not getting sufficient power supply. The situation is, obviously, preferable to working with a hardware problem.
Let us assume that the red ring of death you are witnessing has nothing to do with main power supply problems. In fact, main power supply issues are usually simply resolved by replacing your main power supply cord or just by double checking how well the equipment is secured.
Now if it's not the main power supply, it follows that it's most likely an internal or hardware specific fault. Step one in troubleshooting this kind of problem is to remove the motherboard of the Xbox 360. Open it and using a narrow-tipped screwdriver, gently detach the X clamp.
Once you've detached these X-shaped, silver clamps, you'll need to undo the heat sink. Underneath it, you'll discover the graphic processing unit (GPU) and also the central processing unit (CPU). These are the silver square and smaller-sized rectangular plates that you will come across after you've removed the clamps and unscrewed the heat sinks.
The next measure is to clean up these units using an arctic thermal compound that you can buy by visiting any personal computer shop. Clean the chips with the compound and wait quarter-hour before putting the whole lot back once more.
As a rule, your Xbox system freezes and initiates 3 blinking red lights as a result of the GPU and Central Processing Unit operations are being interfered with by dirt or elements which should not be there. Every step on resolving the fault needs to be completed slowly and carefully to avoid damage to the Xbox 360.
The above outline is only one approach of how to repair RRoD on the Xbox 360 console. If you think you'll be able to complete the steps enumerated in this article without incurring permanent damage to the device, you certainly can try doing it on your own. Still, you'll find it a lot easier if you buy a console repair guide which shows you how to accomplish all this with each step outlined.

Iv connected my notebook to my tv using a 4 pin s-video lead to a 3 rca cable lead (the ones with red yellow..
and white) on the end but its just flickering on the television screen a bit like when u havn't tuned a tv in properly, and yes i already have done that but can someone help me cos my tv is analog and my laptop is a toshiba a series iv tried the function keys and all that anyone help please?
-had same problem with my mac mini to plasma tv
no of things to consider:-
1> mac mini display in NTSC standard while TV was PAL standard
2> converting 4 pin s-video (video using all 4 pin) to rca cable (1 wire, usually yellow) reduces video quality drastically that it may not be display on analog tv.
3> TV and monitor are completely different things in terms of resolution (vertical, horizontal frequency) and computer giving display at particular resolution (when using vga or s-video video output) may not be successfully able to display it on TV (TV cannot match monitor resolution)
By the way- i was also not able to solve my problem, will have to buy monitor. But I understand following factor played important role in my failure to display on tv. Hoping you get lucky.
replacing audio cables on a technics 1210 mk2 part 1
