What do the tonal alarms for the Mazda RX-7 indicate?
I recently purchased a 1986 Mazda rx-7; it is Canadian made and reads in KPH instead of MPH. Since I have gotten the car I have heard two different tonal codes. One is a 6 pulse with a break after the sixth before the code is repeated. The second is a two pulse that will break after the second before repeating the code. I have been searching for information that will tell me what these tonal codes are suppose to tell me but have found nothing. All I have been able to find is information on the alarms for oil pressure, fuel levels, charge and the like; these are not the indicator alarms that I am hearing. The alarm tones are audible only and their persistence and regularity of them is to regular to be flukes. Does anyone know what they are indicative of?
Alarms sound off at regular intervals and start within a mile of home but have no apparent connection to speed or any of my other gauges.

In regard to your other question about the alternator, please ignore the wiring diagrams in the linked FAQ above. I tried it and it does not work. Use the diagram I provided a link to in th other answer.
