Rush Limbaugh Doesn't Want The Chevy Volt

Rush Limbaugh has decided he is going to make the final decision on General Motors' new electric car, the Chevy Volt. $ 41,000 is "a steep price to pay for showing you care about the environment," Limbaugh believes according to the Politico. Executives like called the car a "game-changing product" even though Limbaugh himself thinks it, also as the $ 7,500 tax credit Obama is offering with the car, is ridiculous. Limbaugh thinks the car can't be called game-changing if people are only willing to purchase it with tax incentives.

Car industry must be doing better with the release of the Chevy Volt

The Chevy Volt's battery-powered ride and gas-powered backup are elements of what White House press secretary Robert Gibbs calls the path to the auto industry's revival. Considering that both the vehicle and its innovative lithium-ion battery are likely to be made in America, the Obama administration could reasonably consider the Chevy Volt a feather in its cap. Certainly not everyone is happy about this new development.

Limbaugh likes to talk about the battery

The Volt's battery has an outstanding warranty program, although the vehicle can only travel 40 miles on the battery which charges in "three to four hours" which is what Limbaugh doesn't like. The battery and the vehicle's cost prompted Limbaugh to go as far as to cancel scheduled General Motors ads that would have run on his radio program. GM received quite a bit of money when it came to bailout time so Limbaugh nicknamed the company "Obama Motors".

He calls it 'expensive methods to promote the environmentalist agenda

Cars like the $ 41,000 Chevy Volt and also the $ 30,000 Toyota Prius, if you were to ask Limbaugh, are way too pricey. Others might argue the reduction of emissions is worth it within the long run, and the technology will gradually become less costly. Such is the plight of early adopters of any technology. You pay more if you would like it before anyone else. Some individuals are going to have to wait their turn for the car, but the Chevy Volt can be worth it.

On a D.C. multimeter which position do I place dial?

I have a small digital DC multimeter. It has a dial with off position and a 360 degreesdial with different numbers. Other people have asked similar question, but they ignore the practical answer needed.
When i turn clockwise first position is 500, then 200, then 20u, ...2000u,...20m in green has hfe position, then red positions with k and omega symbol, then goes black...19 settings in all. I simply want to check a 1.5 volt watch battery to determine if the battery needs replaced or if the watche's movement is bad. So which position do i place the dial at to test a 1.5 volt watch/hearing aid type battery?

In most multimeters, the DC volts starts at the first counterclockwise position. The 500 and 200 positions have a sine wave, because that's where AC volts are. The Omega symbol is resistance, which is measured in ohms, K being thousand.

So, on the left, your numbers are probably 2, 20, 200 volts DC. Put your meter on the 2 and the probes on the battery terminals. Try it with a working battery first.

Lone wolf? Or harmless hack? New York City police arrest a Dominican native
in New York -- and charge him with allegedly plotting to blow up parts of the
Big Apple.

Authorities say Jose Pimentel was targeting U.S. troops returning from Iraq
and Afghanistan, and wanted to blow up post offices and police cars.

New York One reports on Pimentel's alleged plans.

**"The commissioner says police made the arrest because Pimentel was ready to
carry out his plan. He was allegedly building bombs like this, following
instructions from the radical cleric Anwar al-Alaqi's militant magazine.
Police made a similar device and detonated it...(explosion.)"**

WNYW talked with the suspect's mother, who says, her son converted to Islam
two years ago, and his behavior changed. At first, it seemed to bring him
peace.

**"I asked her if she knew what he was up to on the computer, because he ran a
website which he called True Islam, in which he railed against the U.S.
government, and he incited people to violence against America. She said it
was a computer she shared, but she didn't have ...
